However, the state ranked 29th in terms of careless driving. Mike Tooley, state transportation department director, said that fewer drivers have collided with pedestrians or pedal cyclists due to the installation of centerline and shoulder rumble strips in high-risk areas. Other states

Idaho ranked as the state with the most careful drivers and Massachusetts tallied the lowest fatality rate, according to CarInsuranceComparison.
